The Think Tank Initiative supported 11 Latin American think tanks and over the past year they have put together a series of communications products based on their lessons from the program. Through these products, this network seeks to share their learnings to help inform other organizations that might participate in future initiatives of this kind and share the challenges that their countries faced in producing evidence-based research and policy recommendations.

Three think tanks in the cohort led this legacy project - GRUPO FARO, INESAD and FUSADES – and they worked with the other think tanks to capture their stories in a series of case studies. From these stories, the cohort developed a series of communications products to help disseminate these stories in the form of interview videos, infographics and the publication of a book that they authored together.

Through these products you’ll learn such things as:

  • How local contexts impacted the capacity of the Latin American think tanks to engage and influence public policy processes
  • How TTI’s core funding and capacity building support contributed towards organizational growth, improved research quality and policy engagement and influence in each of the 12 think tanks
  • How TTI helped strengthen think tanks and ILAIPP in Latin America
